So, I survived my first art class. Actually wasn't as scary as I thought it might be. People were nice, teacher was nice, and I think I managed to pass myself off as a fairly normal person.

Only thing is, the class mainly consists of older women who spent their time talking about kids and husbands and whatnot, leaving me feeling a bit like the odd one out. One of the women chatted to me a bit, but I kinda wished I'd dragged a friend along. Never mind.

Anyway, ladywillin has made it perfectly clear that I have to share my awful attempts at art, so here is a pic I did right at the end of the class. The teacher got us to draw some 3D shapes first (and I totally failed in my attempt to draw a cylinder) before putting some fruit and wine in front of us to do a proper sketch. I had the suspicious feeling that the guy was dreading seeing mine after he witnessed my shocking attempt at a cylinder, but to my surprise, it wasn't half bad...
