I think it is very disempowering how women are encouraged to focus upon our appearance all the time. Nearly all magazines/adverts/ television programmes etc aimed at women seem solely concerned with image. In fact this issue seems to dominate all of Western culture, and I know myself I have suffered the inevitable 'not good enough' feeling that accompanies this.
I really think, therefore, that it is the responsibility of every woman to try and break free of this preoccupation. That is not to say we should not care about how we look, but we should not let it define who we are. The feminine nature is so deep and divine. The feminine is passionate, compassionate, spiritual, creative, intuitive and wild as a she-wolf. But - we have to claim these gifts. Developing your true nature, your true gifts takes focus and time. So, alter your focus from without - to within. There is where your power lies.
